Principles of visual composition, proportion, scale, rhythm, symmetry, harmony, balanced of form and color, sense of place and space, division of space, local point, vista, visual survey.
Principles of Composition:
The most important factor to be considered in the Urban Design is the arrangement of spaces. It should have a good composition. It must be orderly and pleasing. Pleasure follows order. To make composition effective, attractive and pleasing, we have to follow certain principles. The principles of composition are as follows:
- Unity: Unity means oneness and brings harmony with the surroundings. Similar forms give coherence to the parts and integrity to the whole. An urban from so planned and created a single picture of unity. Dissimilar forms, textures and color lack unity.
In this fig. circles are forming unity which is showing harmony .
